Retort stand up pouches are constructed from varying grades of PET/PA/RCPP films which
are laminated together. Able to withstand temperatures typically ranging from 120°C to 130°C retort stand up pouches provide the strength, toughness, puncture & burst resistance that enables them to withstand the retort process.

In clear retort pouches the aluminium foil layer is replaced by silicon oxide and aluminium oxide coatings. The silicate layer is a fine layer of flexible glass which exhibits gas and moisture barrier properties equivalent to aluminium foil. In aluminium foil-free pouches ( clear retort pouches) the product is visible and microwaveable.
